I decided to switch back to WordPress. Over the years, I have repeatedly vacillated between WordPress and a fully customized website. The last time I made this switch was about six years ago, in 2018, when I was searching for my first real job as a software engineer. At that time, it made more sense to build a website from scratch because I could use that as proof that I was capable of making websites. Now, I work for a big tech company, and I have six years of full-time experience as a software engineer, so I’m starting to feel like maybe I have proven myself. Moving forward, the focus of this site will be writing, so now it makes more sense to use a blog engine.
